Joe Dodd

Joe Dodd is a veteran independent risk advisor and the President of Clients First Insurance Group, LLC. With a career dedicated to safeguarding families, small businesses, and agricultural operations across Texas since 2003, Joe has established a reputation built on accountability, transparency, and a consumer-advocate philosophy.

Joe’s passion for the industry extends beyond his local agency to state-level leadership. He is an active member of the Board of Directors for the Professional Insurance Agents (PIA) of Texas, where he also serves as the Membership Committee Chairman. In this role, he leads strategic initiatives to enhance member engagement, communicate the value of the association, and advocate for independent agents across the state.

Joe’s professional mission is rooted in the belief that an insurance agency should serve as an unrestricted advocate for the consumer. Under his leadership, the agency traces a proud regional legacy back to 1946.

• 2003 – 2010 | The Foundation: Joe launched his career in October 2003 as a dedicated agent for the Texas Farm Bureau Insurance office in Upshur County. Over seven years, he mastered the complexities of localized property, casualty, auto, and specialized agricultural risks unique to the East Texas community.

• 2010 – 2017 | Executive Leadership & Growth: In October 2010, Joe was appointed President of East Texas Insurance Agency following its acquisition by the First National Bank of Gilmer. In 2011, he led the rebranding to All-Star Insurance Group, Inc., overseeing impressive growth of the agency and expanding the agency’s footprint via the acquisition of the Hogue Insurance Agency in Quitman.

• 2017 – Present | Restructuring for the Client: In August 2017, Joe privately purchased the active client base of both the Gilmer and Quitman offices. He officially restructured the brokerage as Clients First Insurance Group, LLC, fulfilling a vision where the agent’s singular loyalty rests with the client rather than any single insurance company.
